Carcano gurus i need help ID'ing

I do not know Carcano case stamping well enough to ID from the markings. Also, so many of the 6.5 WWI era cartridges look similar in photos. Your best bet is to look at the photo and take a caliper to the cartridge and start taking measurements. If they are the same, then you it is a 6.5 carcano. If not, then check the 6.5 Arisaka as well. http://www.gunsammo.ws/images/6.5-Carcano-BG.gif

Thank you though!!! It looks so much like a 6.5 Carcano round.

Not easy to find reasonably priced 6.5 carcano ammo...are prvi partizan, sellier & bellot and norma the only manufacturers?

Was able to find some ammo...going to take the rifle for a spin next time I hit the range...anything I should do to the rifle other that oil the barrel a little?
