Can someone help me indentify this rifle?

Well a buddy of mine has an old rifle laying around that was given to him and he is not sure what it is and neither do I. I'm hoping someone here can help me out and maybe even let me know if its worth anything. Thanks.

That's what I thought at first, but I thought the guard on the Arisaka bayonet hooked under?

The cocking piece and look of the bolt are identical to the arisaka. Thats the only thing I think it could be, I could be wrong.

I had no idea what it was so I Googled evan9201’s guess of a Japanese Arisaka from WW2 and going by the photos I think he’s on to it. Good luck with it and give us a range report about it if and when you go.​

It needs some TLC but it should function well.

Definitely an Arisaka.

Yep, and google fu says that apparantly the bayonet from the early 30's didn't do the hook. I'd say you nailed it.

Its not my gun thankfully for the amount of those prices. Its been sitting in his basement for years now so he's not really into shooting like he used to be. But im sure we'll take it out once just for a lil fun. But thanks for the heads up
