Yeah... I know they are more expensive...but what makes them so expensive? Is it just people want them and they don't make many of them?

I would say there isn't a large calling for 50 BMG rifles, but also that the tolerances built into the gun add to the cost also. That's why the cost so darn much.

I'd love a .50 but $ is the biggest issue. At $5+ a ROUND I don't think I'll be there any time soon...oh yeah...and I don't know where I'd shoot it.

This has always been the problem with .50 for me. I would to own one but can't see bringing it out to shoot 200-300 yard targets. I would most likely never use a rifle like that to it's potential. To me it would be like having tricked out '65 Mustang and never driving over 20 MPH. Just my .02
