I had one - awful! Fortunately Basspro took it back...
It is a great concept - rangefinder and bullet drop calculator but the grid/reticle obscures the view. It also had the odd habit of shutting off at random times.
The reticle is a bit busy....provides combo of "mil dot " and the grid down the bottom for other hold off points.
I do like "mil dot " style reticle as it makes hold overs easier. I often don't touch my turrets once zeroed.
Any reticle can be used to judge distance. You just need to take the time to see how much a line or dot covers at X yards on Y mag. Like the old 30/30 reticle of days of old.
