I am loading .357 in new R/P brass. My problem is afer I seat the bullet to proper depth I find it is leaving a slight bulge in the casing where the bullet stops. Any help appreciated.[thinking]

If it is what I think it is it's fine. When you size the die the ID of the brass is smaller than the bullet. When you seat the bullet- it pushes out the brass. Shouldn't be that bad. I see it on my reloads and commercial ammo as well.

Do you size the brass before you load it, as you should? If you do, it's normal to see a slight bulge. If the round chambers and drops out without effort, it should be fine. If it requires ANY effort to chamber and drop out, you Could have trouble. Most of the time a slight bulge is normal.

Size the brass and don't expand the top of the casing too far down to seat the bullet. I noticed the lead also seems to make a difference in my 44 and 357 vs the copper cased. It should shoot fine but of it's a concern try to chamber one round to make sure it isn't tight.
