Boston LTC taking 8 weeks

I called BPD Licensing today to check on the status of my LTC and see if there was anything else they needed. It's been either 6 or 7 weeks since I applied (5 or 6 weeks since my range test). They told me it was all set, they were waiting on the actual license and that I would receive it within two weeks from today. Anyone else had such an experience? When I applied they told me 6 weeks. When I took my range test they told me they were running about 4 weeks. Now it's either going to be 8 or 9 weeks. Are fluctuations normal? Is this just because of the summer? I was excited to buy my first gun and head to the range and practice with it, but guess I might not be doing that until September 6 or 7.

If you're getting it in Boston in 9 weeks you're lucky. Some folks on here have waited 4-5 months. The process is broken.

4-5 months! I guess I am lucky. Although I started the process on March 10, but was delayed because of some things that came up.
