Hi all- here's a simple question for someone who knows my gun:

I have a Benelli Supernova 12ga which I am turning into my turkey and deer gun (been a duck and upland bird guy my whole life). I purchased a hi-viz sight set which requires removal of the front bead. On all my other shotguns, it is a simple painted white bead which is threaded into the barrel. A quick twist and the bead is removed. On the Benelli, there is a small mount with a hi-viz sight.

Before I twist off the front bead/sight I want to make sure it is threaded in there like a normal bead. I'll kill myself if I twist the sight and find it was welded on there and end up with a useless sharp edge.

You might ask: if there is a hi-viz sight on the gun already, why do you want to remove it only to add the new hi-viz sight? The new system has a rear sight and interchangeable front sights to allow for sighting in (depending on the vented rib of a gun and it's shape, you might need to use one of four sizes of front sights).

Thoughts?
