Bear Hunting

Anybody out there hunting bear. Still a week left. Just spent a few days hunting up near Charlemont, but no joy. Anyone have a nuisance bear in their back yard that they need cleaned out? Have gun, willing to travel.

I was planning to go.... but I have a new born and the wife put the brakes on that trip!

I too was too busy in september to go. Now all the mast crop is gone, and it is really hard to find them. I have been using predator calls, trying to draw them in.

I managed to get out on the last day, but only found scat.

I found lots of scat too, lots of berries. I suspect it was from a week or so ago, and just looked fresh because it had been frozen. I think the critters are hibernating already. Too cold.
