Seems on cursory examination the business did all they were supposed to and this is part of a larger sweep focusing on Identity Theft and many businesses in the area.

This investigation has been ongoing with some of the businesses aware and cooperating.

This is a result of an investigation conducted by Homeland Security into employment that was obtained by either ID theft or fraudulent information. Can't really hold it against them if they did their due diligence and it was a matter of fraud on the workers.

When the cheap bastards where I used to work finally got around to doing checks , they ended up letting go of around fifteen people who were working under fake S.S. numbers.
The Bianchi thing scared them into it.
Any business not doing it are idiots considering the possible penalties will far outweigh whatever they cheaped out on in wages.
