Just thought I'd let some of you varmint hunters know: We received in a Savage Edge .223. Full camo stock, coated barrel and action - looks to be very weatherproof. It's on sale this week for $349.98 and we have exactly one in stock here at DSG in Pittsfield. Seems like a nice set-up...

Mark showed me that rifle - bolt felt pretty good for a brand new rifle. I'm sure it would get better as it broke in a little. The synthetic stock on it looked better than their previous ones, even all camoed out. Had what looked like normal Weaver 2-piece mounts on it. I didn't get a chance to try the trigger - I don't believe it was an accutrigger though. Oh, and right handed bolt [sad], so I wasn't tempted to take it home.

Savage has been turning out some nice stuff lately, and at a good price point. Glad to see American built, quality stuff in American hands. Maybe they should send one to Barry and get him out on the range.
