Looking to strip down the finish on old beretta 92 I just got its pretty worn looking (See march acquisitions!; it still shoots nice!) and was thinking between Alumahyde II and Gun Kote. The only holding me on either of these is the fact that I can't blast the pieces (already spending way too much lately a pressure blaster doohickey to strip the parts aint on the list right now) It seems Alumahyde will work on steel as well, and all I gotta do is make sure the parts are near surgically clean. Anyone have any steps or feedback on this? Was going to chemical bath them to strip then dry them out rough as needed and spray away and let cure...
