Just got an email from a distributer (Jerry's). Federal is recalling .45 lots 38X628 thru 38X765 and lots 38T401 thru 38T414. They say it may be unsafe. Details are probably on the Federal website. Jack.

Also recalled are lots AE (AE45A), AE45N1, AE45A250, Champion VVM5233, Gold Medal GM45B, Hi-Shock 45C 45D, and PDF C45C, C45D. Jack.

Sez here if you have any, you can call 1-800-831-0850 or 1-800-322-2342 and asked for product service. They will replace it and cover the cost of returning it. Jack.

I actually have a box of AE that falls under the lots listed, does it matter that I've already shot some of the rounds at the range (i.e. will they still replace the box)?

I'd call and ask. I'd assume so given the potential liability. Luckily the Federal .45 I have on hand doesn't fall into the recall batches.
