America's top killing machine

440,000 deaths per year due to medical errors.

Ban doctors and high capacity hospitals.

Firearms homicides in the most recent year tabulated by the FBI (2012) were 8,855. Suicides, justifiable homicides etc should not be part of their statistic.

Just for shits and giggles, does anyone know if the EXCLUDED gun-related deaths from Iraq and Afghanistan?

The 27 people that rely on MSN for their news know that that piece is a lie. They know, really, that 8.2 million people are killed every month by guns. Guns will kill you if you look at them. There is even evidence they will kill you if you even see a picture of them!

Includes suicide. Includes police shootings. Take those 2 out and...

First off, they are cherry picking their stats.
Teenagers are more likely to die in 'preventable accidents' of all types because they take more risk.

In the United States, teenagers drive less than all but the oldest people, but their numbers of crashes and crash deaths are disproportionately high. 1 In the United States, the fatal crash rate per mile driven for 16-19 year-olds is nearly 3 times the rate for drivers ages 20 and over. Risk is highest at ages 16-17. In fact, the fatal crash rate per mile driven is nearly twice as high for 16-17 year-olds as it is for 18-19 year-olds.

And to think of all the safety features motor vehicles are required to have and the more than 40 hours of driving time with a licensed driver (in addition to driver's ed 10 hours driving plus classroom time for new teen drivers) and restrictions on driving hours, etc and STILL there are over 33K deaths in motor vehicles every year! Save your kids! Don't let them into a motor vehicle!!! Let them walk. It's safer and healthier!!! ITS FOR THE CHILDREN!

The nation lost 33,561 people in crashes on roadways during 2012, compared to 32,479 in 2011.
In 2012, there was an increase of 145,000 people injured in motor vehicle crashes over 2011.

Even better is this graph here that shows the leading causes of teen deaths. Unintentional injury accounts for 48% of teenage deaths! 13% of teen deaths are due to homicide but there is no break down as to what weapons were used to commit the homicide.
