Alpen Spotting Scope

I ran a search on Alpen and came up dry (in our forum).

Does anyone have direct experience with Alpen Spotting Scopes?
Review looked good.

I'm curious about their quality too. I'm all set on a spotting scope, but if they are a good company I may go for something else.

Alpen doesn't have the greatest glass, but it will work. Don't expect to see .22 holes at 200yds (you may if the light is right, but don't expect it).

Alpen Review

Well, I got the Alpen Model 728.

It's a 60mm waterproof Spotting Scope, w/45 degree 15-45x zoom eye piece.
Its well built, the lens caps are threaded and robust. The focus knob is discrete and solid. It comes with a nice padded case. So far I have only used at an indoor 50' range. You can read the print on the standard bullseye target easily; its crisp.
