Chicago police says offender was taken into custody

Chicago police said Saturday that a concealed carry holder used his gun to shoot a man who allegedly had attempted to rob him on Friday afternoon while riding a CTA Green Line train.

The intended victim may be in trouble ... per CTA rules, carrying of weapons on any CTA property or vehicle is strictly forbidden. Draw your own conclusions.

These “sensitive” place bans are in court all over the country now. I doubt the govt in Illinois wants to charge him on that and have a live court case. It’s like Healy issuing a directive but not going after dealers or gun owners, she absolutely doesn’t want a court case.

Hmm, no mention of the shooter being "detained".
