anyone have any opinion on these as a starter safe in a first floor apartment? They seem small enough to fit in a small corner and large enough to hold what i need (handgun and couple long guns, and ammo), if the shelves are removable.

from what I've seen they look much more "safe" than anything you will get a walmart dicks ect....... most safes in the $300 range only weigh about $250 and are very light gauge steal. according to the seller these are about 400+ lbs and are 10 or 12 gauge steal. one of them having a UL listed lock.

as I said before, Im not the seller, nor do I know the seller but they look like a pretty good deal for someone in need of a smaller safe. honestly I would buy them myself, but I need a bigger safe

Yeah i noticed that. i had emailed the seller and said that thursday was the earliest i could head to CT to check them out but if he had a local buyer, i wasn't expecting him to hold them. The search continues...
