I have seen some cool surplus pistols chamber for this round. I haven't seen the ammo around though. Is this something that is readily available or should I skip these guns if I want something to shoot occasionally?

9MM Largo is also called 9MM Bergman Bayard. Case dimensions are 9x23, but I wouldn't shoot the IPSC round in one of the old Largo pistols.
If you reload your ammo, Starline makes the brass or you can trim the semi rims of 38Super brass off if you have a lathe.
