I just bought 3 boxes of Hollow points and just wondering which one is the better defensive round.

Hornady Custom .40S&W 155gr XTP (JHP)

Winchester Supreme Elite Bonded PDX1 .40 S&W 180 gr JHP

Winchester Supreme Elite Bonded PDX1 .40 S&W 165 gr JHP

I personally like the 155 and 165 in 40s&w and I carry the Hornady. I prefer the significantly greater ft/lbs of the 155 over the extra 1 inch penetration of the 180.

None of the above. Federal HST all the way.

From your list I would carry: Winchester Supreme Elite Bonded PDX1 .40 S&W 180 gr JHP

.. unitl you can get either: Speer Gold Dots for a bonded round, or Federal HST for a non-bonded round.

I picked up a couple boxes of the HST 180gr .40S&W at Four Seasons last weekend for a carry round. Going to try a few mags at the range this weekend to see how it shoots.

Remington Golden Sabre 180gr JHP - i love this ammo because it feeds like FMJ's.

FYI - i had problems with speer gold dots in my G23, but the gun was cherry at at the time...

or the 180gr winchester... [smile]
