Current SPBI Backlog and resident pistol permit wait times

Finally got my permit on the 28th of July.

Any word on the current wait time for a pistol permit in Torrington? The Torrington records dept has 8 -12 weeks listed. I just think that it is odd that they would advertise that they are not going to comply with the statute after making me jump through so many hoops.
