3/27/23 Nashville School Shooting

Shocker. Another female with a hyphenated last name making purely emotional and political decisions about what other people should think.

And double shocker that CBS has 150 employees that disagree with her and say that’s not journalism by hiding information from its readers.

I’m good with the “Don’t say their name” thing to avoid glorifying the mass killers. But now it’s:

“Don’t say their race (if not white)”
“Don’t say their religion (if not Evangelical Christian)”
“Don’t say their gender (if identifying at LGBTQAI+”
“Don’t say their politics (if not Conservative, Nazi, White Supremacist - and make it up if it isn’t)”

100%. I’d be ok with just showing a picture of them dead for all the other freaks to see and maybe they’ll say nahhh I’m good, I’m just gonna stay home and get high instead.

Like the old cowboy days, just stick em in a pine box and display them out front of the store for a week or two.

From my experience in training, if you are the first responder, be ready to hit the ground FAST when the cops show up. From what I've seen in training, pretty much anyone with a gun inside the kill zone without a uniform is likely to have a bad day.

I read articles by Greg Ellifritz not infrequently; he writes well, and he appears to write from an informed basis.

This is from an article about carrying a gun in a "non-permissive" environment.

“Yeah. An active killer response is pretty easy in an place like this. Everyone goes through the metal detectors. No one has guns. If someone gets past security and starts shooting, it’s easy to find the bad guy. He’s the only one not wearing a uniform with a gun in his hand.”

We tried to push this into students heads as much as possible that just because you see a firearm does not mean it’s a threat to you. Trigger discipline and friend/foe identification saves lives.

We covered multiple active shooter scenarios in live action with Sims where we’d have someone in street clothes flag themselves (for those that can’t picture that it’s just like their pistol barrel sticking out around the corner) purposely at a corner/hallway/doorway in front of the uniformed cops moving down the hallway searching.

About 90% of the time the uniforms would see that muzzle, freak out and open fire automatically. And I thought that was good because we can then drive home the fact that they killed their buddy or the janitor or a Detective from some other agency was who just getting lunch down the street, heard the call and responded.

We’d make it very clear to them all with some verbal abuse and humiliation that now he’s dead too because you all were pussies and failed when we needed disciplined professionals.

God knows how many even remember any of it but I like to think they do and that it might help save a life at some point if they’re unlucky enough to find themselves in that spot.

So far, what has prevented friendly fire errors is: 1) the deterrent effect of known armed security at a site - no active shooter, no guns out, 2) the scarcity of armed security at most sites - no friendlies to be mistakenly shot.

When Israel armed up, terrorists switched to bombs. But they were not lone wolf attackers, they had supporting terrorist organizations behind them. Those with bomb-making capabilities will be far fewer than crazies with guns here in the US. Bomb threats are always going to be more common than bombings, unless things spiral much farther down the shitter.

Eventually, as more schools arm up, there will be some friendly fire errors. But most crazies will seek other venues (malls, outdoor events, etc) with less/no security. Crazies are, more often than not, not stupid.

Agreed. I do believe we’re going to see more terror attacks here using explosives with the open borders. It could get kind of Israel like around here quickly.

@MGnoob How bad does your vest print under your shirt? When you said that last night I was like oh shit I hope nobody mistakes that for an S vest if you’re ever caught up in one of these scenes. That would suck.

Yeah.

So, anyway, the maintenace guy tried to blow up the school yesterday. Turned on two gas valves in a science lab overnight. Thankfully, the science teacher smelled the gas and didn't do anything stupid. There was a Pride event scheduled for today, for the 8 or so kids who fit into this group.

Today, rumor mill started and went full retard. Ended the day with the SWAT team milling around the school as a precaution. My kids were very happy to see the sub in the classroom today.

Time for 'good Christians' to take a chill pill. This idiot was going to blow up a school, yeah, I know that's not how this works, full of good kids to get at less than a dozen messed up kids.

What’s the best fake label to wear on your plate carrier?? FBI?? US Marshall?? livestock Agent??

Yeah.

So is the custodian still breathing?

I'm a little close to this one to make any comments, but yes. Apprehended at his home from what I gather.

Oh. Shit. I assumed your post was being sarcastic. Like, an employee literally tried to blow up the school the day before a Pride thing?

These fold up small and go over a plate carrier quick an easy - might buy you a second to hit the floor.

Um. Yeah. Today rumor mill said there was an active shooter. I'm in a class full of kids when those started hitting the phones. My wife texted me from the other school. Like I said, the kids were extremely happy with the sub they got today. Nothing happened, just full retard panic set in.

Edit: For those of you that think my law enforcement career was 'easy mode', THIS is how my entire 21 years went. I talked with the other guy who just got out of the military and is killing time looking for a job. Last thing he said to me before classes started was 'stay frosty my dude'.

I was a little confused by it myself. Wasn’t sure if he was joking and gas just got turned on by a non intentional act while cleaning or something.

"Kostermans turned on the gas valves 'out of anger over a dispute with his mother,' according to a report obtained by WVLT News."

Bet mom's feeling like dog-doo right around now.
Yeah, I noticed that in the article. Maybe he has a similar problem to the other problem child who attacked a school.

Do you want me to protect them like they are my kids?

That's all I'm saying. I mean, I could just piss in the corner if that's what you want. :p.
Do what you want, they’re not my kids either but I’d still protect them without needing some odd familiarity decree.

I was just asking because I see and hear a lot of pissed off parents lately who’re dealing with socialist school boards and teachers also using that ‘my kids’ thing when trying to explain that they know better than the parents do, and then the actual parents saying ‘the f*** they are those are my kids and no one else’s’.

It was just a curiosity to me. I don’t think you or @Picton are in that group of commies thankfully but the terminology was the same so I asked. Now you can go piss in the corner. 🍻
