The thing that shot out those little metal things that tore through the organs and ended the lives of those kids and teachers....that's the thing that ultimately killed them. That was the tool that was used. Both the person AND THE GUNS are responsible.

And if he had used a knife, machete, or an ax he could have killed quite a few small unarmed children. In my opinion it should be a discussion of the armed versus the unarmed/unprotected. If a fox gets in the henhouse it is ultimately the fault of the farmer for not hardening the structure sufficiently.

If the US could magically ban guns and make them all disappear I bet casualties would go up, not down because deranged people wouod just start using cars on packs of people.

It's easier to kill more people with a truck than an AR15. We're lucky people are using rifles and not F250s to run over groups of kids waiting for school busses.

Not to mention I'm 6'0" 226lbs. You put me in a classroom full of 4th graders and one teacher I could easily kill all of them with my bare hands.

The founding fathers intended well-trained civilian militia to be able to use firearms that could fire one wildly inaccurate round per minute in order to defend the country from foreign invasion, because that was the available tech at the time... I doubt they intended a single teenager to be able to mow down an entire classroom of children with a weapon that can fire several rounds per second.

Yeah. I bet people who like to kill people would totally just stop doing it if they didn't have a gun. They wouldn't start using knives or homemade bombs or vehicles or hammers for sure. And hey, if they start getting stabby we can just do what the UK does and heavily regulate knives. No one "needs" an 11 inch chefs knife. No one "needs" a tire iron or other "weapons of offense".
