21 killed, 18 injured in shooting at elementary school in Uvalde, Texas

Another thing from my younger school days was that almost every one I knew had guns in the house, not locked up and usually hanging on the wall or tucked behind a door, you could argue kids had more access to guns back then and things like this never happened that I can remember. Incidentally My younger days were mid 70s to mid 80s.

Once upon a time kids were taught about respect. They were taught to responsibility. They were taught to respect firearms, how to safely handle firearms, how to use them, what they were used for. And when they showed they understood, were allowed to shoot firearms. And when they proved they were responsible enough, were given access to them. Guns were a normal tool with routine use and thought of just like everything else. They weren’t controversial.

Now kids are taught guns are evil and have no purpose but to kill people. Combine that with all the other things kids are taught to hate and the division that is sowed, and it’s no surprise that this stuff happens.

it is a lot to ask from any human - to engage a runaway train maniac committing a suicide by police - armed with an AR and a full mag, when you only have a personal sidearm with one spare mag and no tactical gear on you.
especially if you are 50+ yr old, have a family to feed and other million reasons to hate the job you`re doing.

Cowards make the worse cops.

From WSJ. 🤬 FOX just stated SRO engaged shooter outside and was shot by coward who then entered school.

"On Tuesday, Bortac agents heard a call on local police radio about the shooting at Robb Elementary and were among the first to respond, according to officials.

Bortac agents typically carry their gear, such as helmets, tactical vests and shields, in their cars, according to officials familiar with the unit.

When the call came in on Tuesday, dozens of Border Patrol agents, ultimately totaling about 80 rushed to the school, according to an agency official.

Initially, the Bortac agents couldn’t get into the classroom because of a steel door and cinder block construction, according to law-enforcement officials familiar with what happened. Meanwhile, the gunman, an 18 year-old named Salvador Ramos, shot at them through the door and walls.

The Bortac agents got a master key from the school principal that allowed them to enter the room, according to the officials. One Bortac agent’s shield was hit by rounds upon entering and a second agent was wounded by shrapnel. A third killed the suspect.

Inside, authorities found dead children in piles, according to the officials. A total of 19 children and two teachers died."

Good God, can you imagine the frustration of dicking around with a door, trying to get in, having to hear what you know is going on, on the other side?

How long did it take to get a key?

"Every other democracy makes some considerable effort to keep guns away from dangerous people, and dangerous people away from guns. For many years—and especially since the massacre at Connecticut’s Sandy Hook Elementary School almost a decade ago—the United States has put more and more guns into more and more hands: 120 guns per 100 people in this country. The years of the pandemic have been the years of the greatest gun sales in U.S. history: almost 20 million guns sold in 2020; another 18.5 million sold in 2021. No surprise, those two years also witnessed a surge in gun violence: the spectacular human butchery of our recurring mass slaughters; the surge of one-on-one lethal criminality; the unceasing tragic toll of carelessness as American gun owners hurt and kill their loved ones and themselves...More guns, more places, fewer checks, fewer protections."

Actually more guns and more checks - 20.0 million and 18.5 million guns sold to citizens passing a NICS background check.

NH is giving $500,000 grants to school systems to buy Zero Emissions busses so that the racial inequity of climate change is reduced. Maybe we should spend that elsewhere…

I went to Catholic School and I'm a BIG fan of fear in children, especially boys. The good Sister's of ST. Joseph didn' take any crap from kids and the Xaverian Brother's the same. You didn't DARE mouth off or you knew you were in big trouble with the teacher, Principal and then your parents. My Mother threw my Father out when I was 10 yrs old and the oldest of 4 kids and was NOT afraid to use her yard stick on me. I can remember 5ft, 5" Xaverian Brothers plastering a 6ft kid against the wall in the hallway because he gave the Brother a wiseass comment about something. [rofl]

How does it feel to know that if you or one of your loved ones are unlucky enough to get killed in one of these mass shootings, your deaths will be used to further the lefts commie agenda before your body is even removed from the crime scene? And to add insult to injury, you will suddenly start voting democrat from beyond the grave.

I've always found the kids that went to the Catholic Schools were the worst kids outside of school, big drinkers and druggies and generally no respect for anything. Sorry, that was my experience (Not all of them of course). They always did seem to have the best parties when their parents weren't home though.

As one of three black kids in my high school class that was a Catholic high school, I was never invited to those cool parties. What were they like?

That went through my mind considering the setting and situation and the helpless kids inside. It’s going to take a toll on those agents. That shit never goes away.

Effin Beto O'Rourke

'Democratic gubernatorial candidate Beto O'Rourke attempted to derail Republican Texas Gov. Greg Abbott's response to the shooting in Uvalde, Texas, on Wednesday.

Abbott spoke for roughly ten minutes before attempting to transfer the microphone to Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick, at which point O'Rourke approached the stage.

Only some of O'Rourke's words were audible, but he was pointing aggressively at the stage even as those on it shouted him down.'

I would throw down at least four/five figures for the privilege of curb stomping that piece of shit Into a puddle

Yes, when pressed to “do something” Red Flag Laws seem to be the convenient go-to. As though any law works if not enforced frequently and effectively, the demand that more RFLs are passed “and enforced” may get a few more States before they break for Summer.
Something needs doing, schools may as well put up giant neon targets to advertise to mass killers as great places to rack up kill counts and make them famous.

Is it really so much to ask the pro LGBT teachers to learn to protect their students as well as teach them proper pronouns and what is and isn't safe to shove up their butt?

I mean, a 9 year old needs to not only understand how to crossdress, but also not be shot up like an AR500 plate on a shooting range.

So, school security is a definite must, but beyond that, seeing two consecutive weeks where 18 yr olds blew away a bunch of people, it's probably time to discuss raising the age of adulthood to 21. No voting, no smoking, no drinking, no pew pew until 21.

Dude, yesterday I was gassing my car and this 6ft 5in GUY, was walking around in hiheel cowboy boots, no pants, and a plaid blue mini skirt.

Ruined my day completely

I have zero issues calling out little crotch demons on their misbehavior, if their parents/guardians won't do it, I will. There was a little boy the other day trying to open port-a-potty doors and tried to open the one my daughter was in. He was probably 4, old enough to know better, the mom was right there not paying attention so I grabbed the little shit by the shoulder and told him he needs to leave my daughter alone it's occupied.
lol Jesus buddy. Poor kid prolly needed to take a leak too and because…well shit I don’t know, just a shot in the dark here, maybe because he’s still a f***ing toddler…he won’t be tall enough to see the occupied sign until like 2024?

Did you at least put eyeballs on his Mickey Mouse pull ups to make sure the little f***er wasn’t carrying a knife before making your move on him? lol Toss in a couple tactical rolls afterwards to show the mom who’s in charge.

There were 6 portapotties 4 were open and he was going and trying all the doors and wrenching on the one my daughter was in, the mom was not stopping him after she saw what he was doing.

I have 4 kids they all know better than to be a little a**h*** at that age, your excuses are part of the problem.
