The BSW is home[grin]. Here she is "before" I do anything to it.

Here is what we have: 1938 BSW (Berlin-Suhler Waffen), 2nd year production, #11,260 of 50,000 total units in 1938. Matching (1261a) are barrel, receiver, ejector box assembly (3), front sight, trigger guard, floor plate, follower, and front trigger guard bolt. All other parts are mismatched serial numbers, but ALL are WaA4 Waffenampts (including capture screws) except the band spring (unmarked) and rear trigger guard bolt (WaA18, no serial). Stock is a correct walnut flat butt plate with WaA4, but non matching serial and 10" rod - so a probable 1937 stock. Sling is original, marked Koch & Benning, Wuppental E, and 1938, with L&F buckle. Cleaning rod is an unmarked original from another of my rifles, and a spare original flip muzzle cover. Barrel is dark, but with strong rifling and no pitting; very good.

Not much to do to this rifle, besides take it down and a light cleaning. I'll take pictures when I get to this part. A couple coats of cut Tung oil on the stock, and saddle soap on the sling. I only really need a WaA4 rear bolt (or #61 no WaA) and call it even.[wink]

I also scored a complete bolt body for my "Quandary" DOT44, WaA63, "3059ag" to go with the matching "4160ah" action parts. I just slipped the guts of the other bolt into this correct bolt body.
