Chicago shootings leave two dead, 15 hurt

MULTIPLE shootings in a Chicago neighborhood Friday morning (local time) left at least two dead and 15 wounded.

A man was shot and killed on South Michigan Avenue and another shooting, a few blocks away left another man dead, MyFox Chicago reports.

Two additional men were shot, one in the leg and the other in the buttocks after an exchange of words.

Four more people were shot outside a sports bar.

Six people, including five men in their 20s who were seriously to critically hurt, were wounded in two shootings early Friday (local time) in the Englewood neighborhood on Chicago's South Side.

Another woman claimed she was shot in the arm Millennium Park, police are checking her story.

Police first responded to a shooting the South Side after midnight on Friday morning.

Twenty minutes after police arrived at the scene, additional shots rang out. Police did not return the gunfire and no officer was injured, according to a police spokesman.

Six people were being questioned by police, according to the Chicago Tribune. Investigators believe the violence is gang related.

That's pretty impressive for a city that has nearly outlawed guns entirely.
I guess they need to write a few more gun laws.

Learn your history. Prohibition was actually a success in Chicago; it was all those out-of-staters who shot up the garage on St. Valentine's Day, ran the speakeasies and brothels and gave Elliott Ness someone to persecute. Certainly no native Chicagoans were involved.

It looks like they upped the ante.
The toll now is over 40 shootings and 5 dead since Wednesday.
I guess they didn't know that there was a national ammo shortage.

CHICAGO - More than 40 people have been shot, and at least five killed, during a rash of violence in Chicago.

The shootings started Wednesday, and were accompanied by record setting warm temperatures. Many of the incidents happened in the Chicago neighborhood of Englewood.

Residents of the neighborhood say they are fearful of what could happen to them or their children.
