My build is just about done so I picked up a FA 10 at Worcester PD. They do have "a few" more if anyone needs them. I've read most of the FA 10 related threads but haven't found the answer to my question. My barrel is 14.5" with a permanently attached muzzle brake bringing the total length over 16". What length barrel should I put?

Thanks

If you put down 14.5 you may get a knock at the door.

Uhh, why? You mean the CHSB computer automatically dispatches the ATF to investigate? [laugh] (Hint: SBR builders don't get a knock at the door when they do this... so CHSB doesn't really care- and they have no way of knowing whether or not the person has a stamp or not, because MA law doesn't block SBRs, although the classification of the gun changes under MA law... (Becomes a "firearm" instead of a rifle or shotgun, IIRC).

Yes, I agree, though, the barrel length recorded should probably be via the "fed standard" which is to treat the whole thing as a complete unit. If the device is permanently attached it constitutes part of the barrel.
