WSPRlite DXplorer

Cool stuff alright. I have 2 end fed wire antennas. Their radiation pattern is almost impossible to predict and is supposed to be different on different bands. This will give me an idea of what directions they favor.[thumbsup]

Here is my little WSPRlite running at 200mW into my pre-tuned 43ft Vertical on 40m for a week - one short reset for that extra second on 1/1/17 which threw off the digital decoding some. It's amazing I'm heard up to 18726km away - close to the most distant point from my QTH in Oz, from a fellow running a modest antenna and WSJT-X. That's 93,630km/watt as some calculate in QRP world, but WSPR is pretty rarified digital QRP vs SOTA. Kind of like the farthest star visible to the naked eye is 16.3 kly away while the farther object detected is 13.2 Gly away. Analog vs digital. The SciFi in me thanks God we are analog with energy/frequency limits as we have them for our tiny brains. The tinnitus keeps me up already - I'd hate to hear/see all that EMF!

The website http://www.dxplorer.net calculates a running average of your most distant 10 spots and plots a chart. There is also a Top 10 Spots Table.

Great new kit - a little TX that hooks to your antenna and USB charger and send a WSPR signal out on 20m, 30m, 40m, 80m or 160m at 200mW for under $90 shipped. It comes with a nice website subscription to evaluate your signal. Plain fun and cool!

Gotta have it. Thanks for the post and link.
