Was loading some 300 blk this weekend using Palmetto Projectiles brass- recently, they had a deal for 300 projectiles and 300 pieces of unprimed brass that i jumped on. I like the idea of their 203 gr. subsonic projectile (cheap!) and after loading 20 in order to ensure function with my own brass and 10 grains of IMR 4227, I decided to load 100.

As a rule of thumb, I always check the headspace of every 3 rounds after I resize. In this case, I ended up having to check the hs on all 100 loaded. As you can see from the picture, 23 of the 100 pieces of brass did not pass my Lyman gauge- the one in the gauge is how far off they are.

Basic line: if you buy brass from Palmetto Projectiles, run it through a resizer before you chamfer/debur and prime- In the mean time, Ill be in the loading room....pulling projectiles [sad2]
