This isn't for me. My student from an NRA Basic Pistol class isn't getting any replies from officer Soto, who is listed as the officer on the firearms web page. However if I bring up the Chief's page and see people listed for training and firearms, an officer Scanlon is listed as the licensing officer. Sum ting wong here.

Anyway, the student is going down in person tomorrow to try to see why he isn't getting any replies to emails or phone messages to officer Soto. He will try officer Scanlon today, but who knows what's going on here?

Student just emailed me to tell me that Soto contacted him to bring in his stuff tomorrow. So, maybe Soto and Scanlon are sharing the licensing duties. Pretty confusing.

Yeah, my brother-in-law’s a detective in Lawrence and when I told him I have to renew in October he said talk to Gene but there have been a bunch of new officers, so maybe someone else will be handling it.
I know Gene is doing mine
