Are all white oak uppers A2 style? I'm starting with a RRA national match service rifle with removable handle (because it's nice to have options if the service rifle thing doesn't work out). If things go as planned I'd eventually get WOA upper as a replacement and have the RRA as a backup. The question is, is there much of an issue switching between A2 and A4 uppers with regards to sight alignment, cheek weld, etc? TIA

He'll make you one with a flat-top and he also sells match grade carry handles. I understand that the AMU guys use a similar setup because they don't re-barrel. (Apparently they just get a whole new upper and move the match carry handle and bolt carrier from the old to the new. Sounds expensive to me, but they don't pay for them so....)

Personally I've shot a service rifle like that once before at the 2011 SAFS EIC match at Camp Perry. It felt weird to me but I'm used to an A2.

Thanks. I don't know how I missed that. I'll probably still switch to an A2 when the time comes. Options are nice but reducing variables also has its merits.

If you are going to shoot HP service rifle get an a2 upper if you can.
