Trying to get some new experiences. Has anyone tried the Lackey Dam WMA? Seems ok but there are quite a few houses situated on the banks on the north side. Anyone here have some first hand experiences there?

I do have a canoe, decoys, etc and wanted to give it a go. If anyone has been there and can offer some tips or if you'd like to come with, I'd be open to it.

I'm fairly new to the sport but was also eying that up. I'm in a similar situation, I've got a dozen dekes, a canoe and time. I haven't had the chance to head down there but was thinking about checking it out this weekend to see what it is like with the houses that don't show on google maps, etc

I've looked at that spot so many times but never hunted it. Looks like you need to launch by the dam and paddle south. Huntable area looks to be by the powerlines. Definitely worth scouting out, hard to say how much pressure it gets?
