Too bad the 44 dated holster has the flap missing.

Gun is in superb condition. I need to upgrade my camera in order to do this gun justice. It is the cleanest one I have seen in years, if ever pp2.jpg pp1.jpg .

It was in the gun shop for hours instead of days. It never made it into the showcase. I walked in and the owner walks into the back and said it had just come in, and he knows that it is my kind of gun.

I am excited to add it to my WWII collection.

Welcome to the club! Pistol matches the holster; 359K dates to '44. Can't be more exact, as I lost all my web sites when I lost my hard drive earlier this month.

Well done...how much?

Lucky man. Nice piece

I am a lucky man, that is for sure.

My Grandmother passed away on November 21, 2011, and my Mother decided to give me $1,000 from her estate to buy myself something nice.

I was able to buy this PP, two boxes of ammo, and a nice lunch in memory of her.

RIP Granny D. 01/01/1914 - 11/21/2011

I was going to get a Winchester M1 carbine, but this gun spoke to me.

Found the information:

1944 Walther PP production: 288,900P (P is for PP; K for PPK)-374,700; total 85,500 pieces. 1944 PPK production was from 409,600K-426,400K; 16,800 pieces. Assuming constant production of 7,150 pieces/month, yours at 362,308 was made around October of '44.

My 1937 piece has serial 972138. Walther decided not to number very far into seven digits, and in 1938 restarted six digits with the P or K suffix at 145500P/127600K.

Do you happen to know about what serial number did they switch over to the "ac" code on the PP?

Sorry, I only have serial number/date information on the PP. I don't think PP/PPKs had the AC code? I know the P38 AC code came in mid 1940.

From gunboards

"For the PP pistols we first see the “ac” slide marking by serial range 365xxxP. I do not know the exact date of the introduction of the “ac” slide marking, but it is assumed to have been by January 1945."

What forum?

OK, putting 2+2 together...AC markings start in January '45...and January '45 Walther serial numbers started at 380200P and 427400K.
