USPSA Question

You would probably shoot in the Single-Stack Division provided your holster and mag holders were properly placed on your belt.

That would be the best Div. for it. You could go Limited 10 with 10 round mags as well.

Single Stack also has a weight limit with an empty mag inserted, and it has a box that the pistol must fit into, also with a mag inserted. A race style holster is not permited, nor a dropped holster such as the Blade Tech DOH. A very good holster for the division is the Uncle Mikes kydex....it's inexpensive too.
Belt placement is behind the center of the hip bone. The rules are here.

The placement is Appendix E3

Are 5 mags going to be enough to shoot single stack effectively?

Depends how well you shoot! [smile] Max rounds count on a USPSA stage is 32. You also want spares in case you have to drop a mag or something. For getting started- just give it a go!

Depends on how well you shoot....Not being a jerk here but you may run into a 28-32 round course of fire, miss a couple shots, drop a magazine on a fumbled reload and suddenly you dont have enough ammo....
