Virginia’s Scott Warren Takes Single Stack Title At TechWear USA Area 8 Championships

Sedro-Woolley, WA — Scott Warren is a master with the 1911 pistol – literally. The Montclair, Virginia shooter is ranked as a Master in the sport of Practical Shooting and proved worthy of the title as he claimed top honors in the Single Stack Division at the TechWear USA Area 8 Practical Shooting Championships held over the Memorial Day weekend.

Warren dominated his division winning an astounding nine of 11 stages in the match. Only Larry Houck managed to out shoot Warren taking the remaining two stages on his way to second place. Ed Deegan placed third with Christopher DiMenna finishing fourth and Ed Henry rounding out the top five.

“Scott is an accomplished shooter that every competitor respects. His outstanding shooting performance this weekend shows why,” said Alan Meek, USPSA’s Area 8 Director.

The USPSA Area 8 Championships were held at the East Huntingdon Sportsmen’s Association range in Alverton, Pennsylvania May 22-25. A total of 312 top shooters competed in USPSA’s Open, Limited, Limited-10, Production, Revolver and Single Stack divisions. The USPSA Area 8 region includes Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Virginia but shooters from across the Nation and around the world are invited to compete.
