Para USA's Todd Jarrett Claims Open Title At TechWear USA Area 8 Championships

Sedro-Woolley, WA — Todd Jarrett of Hopewell, Virginia won the Open Division title at the TechWear USA Area 8 Practical Shooting Championships held over the Memorial Day weekend at the East Huntingdon Sportsmen’s Association range in Alverton, Pennsylvania. Jarrett is one of the country’s top shooters with 15 national and world championship titles to his name.

Jarrett captured the Open title by winning seven of the 11 stages but faced stiff competition from KC Eusebio of the US Army Marksmanship Unit who won two stages and twice led the field of more than 100 shooters. Clint Upchurch secured the third place slot by winning the remaining two stages. John Guida and Bryan Jones finished fourth and fifth respectively.

“Todd continues his reign as one of the top shooters in America and the world. You can never count him out as his win at the TechWear USA Area 8 match proves,” said Alan Meek, USPSA’s Area 8 Director.

The USPSA Area 8 Championships were held May 22-25 with a total of 312 top shooters competed in USPSA’s Open, Limited, Limited-10, Production, Revolver and Single Stack divisions. The USPSA Area 8 region includes Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Virginia but shooters from across the Nation and around the world are invited to compete.
