Manny Bragg Takes Another Limited Title At TechWear USA Area 8 Championships

Sedro-Woolley, WA — Manny Bragg is on a roll. The Kirksville, Missouri shooter has captured the Limited title at the TechWear USA Area 8 Practical Shooting Championships held over the Memorial Day weekend. It is his fourth pistol shooting title since mid-April.

Facing off against a field of top shooters, Bragg won five of the 11 stages and led the match after the second stage. Defending champion Travis Tomasie of the US Army Marksmanship Unit finished second winning three stages and Matt Cheely took third winning the remaining three stages. Michael Burrell and Orville Henriques rounded out the top five finishing fourth and fifth respectively.

“Manny is certainly one of the top two or three shooters in his division. With his earlier wins in the Area 6 match as well as the Rocky Mountain 300 and the Space City Challenge, I think it’s safe to say Manny is on a roll,” said Alan Meek, USPSA’s Area 8 Director.

The USPSA Area 8 Championships were held at the East Huntingdon Sportsmen’s Association range in Alverton, Pennsylvania May 22-25. A total of 312 top shooters competed in USPSA’s Open, Limited, Limited-10, Production, Revolver and Single Stack divisions. The USPSA Area 8 region includes Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Virginia but shooters from across the Nation and around the world are invited to compete.
