Use for trouble some Greek HXP clips, single load sled

Since I cant get out to shoot or to the HR&GC sportsman show decided to bang out some little projects.

I been stocking up the problem child M1 clips particular are the greek HXP 1972 sealed tins for me.

http://www.foundry.ray-vin.com/m1sled/m1sled.htm heres the plans... They take a bit of final adjustment to get smooth and work nice.
If your a lefty these are great for sinlge loading...



Thought I would post a commercial variant so you can see the difference. The shorter leg or release on the commercial one eliminates accidental release also the curved side to the left helps aid in bullet loading. Although the home made ones work just fine the way they are....Im going to make a few copies of the com=mercial ones also

Nice! I plan to try to modify a clip for 5 rounds max

the 2 and 5 rounders are pretty easy.... 5 rounder on the left which is a commercial clip works ok . 2 rounder I made on the right.
I prefer the 2 rounder, load 2 then 8 on the rapids. The 5 shot sled doesnt work well on the reload in my experience.

Could you give any detail on the two round sled ?

I cheated a little on the measurements, instead of 9/16" up from base I came up 1/2" and instead of 1" up from bottom on top cut I came up a little shorter like 7/8" or 15/16".
They all work great though, after one throw away.
