Updated COP Permit Issue Information

Does anyone have recent experience getting a nonresident carry permit through a town, without having an actual "fear of life being in danger" need?

There is a lot of information here and throughout the internet regarding permits issued to nonresidents by towns (not through AG's office) but most of it is outdated.

There isn't much data available on this and the towns can't release the info. The only way to verify is through those that have received a town issued permit

Problem is nobody talks about this in public because they don't want to kill the goose that laid the golden egg for them.

Every municipality now have applications (Warren was the last to develop an application) and most of them issue. After the Gadomski decision they were notified about the decision by the RI Attorney General's office and I think they got the hint... If you have a non-resident permit you can apply under 11-47-11 in any municipality, but I would suggest that you apply in a town you visit often or have a connection to.
