Anyone own a Traditions Black Powder Firearm ?

Are they any good ?

I've heard that their rifles are thought well of; can't say anything about their revolvers. I've had 5 F.L.L. Piettas that have worked well.

Did some research and corresponded with Randy Wakeman.

The bottom line is both CVA and Traditions sell, in general, very badly made firearms made in Spain, that are illegal throughout Europe due to lack of adequate testing and known defects.

CVA in particular, has sold firearms that have maimed and killed many.

I've decided to stick with Pietta, Uberti, Pedersoli and other more expensive but reputable manufacturers.

I see from their pictures, all the barrels are stamped Pietta/Italy. I have a Traditions 1960 Colt. It's a Peitta. Same Pietta quality as the Piettas I bought from Cabelas = serviceable.
When you get it, there is going to be something you are going to want to fix with a file or stone. Or return it and try again. I'll still consider a Pietta/Traditions in the future but I'd prefer to examine it before purchase

edit, make that 1860

So, do you think Pietta from Traditions is as good as Pietta from anyone else ?

I'm thinking yes.

I'd love to buy a Traditions Trapper Flintlock, but without knowing more about the actual manufacturer, no.
