Thompson Contender in MA

I searched and didn't find anything so forgive me if this is has come up before. I have a serious hard on for a Thompson Contender pistol for range fun and they are not on the BULL$H!T list (but that's another topic entirely). If I found one made before '98, would it technically be good to go? I can't see how it would be different than a gen 2 Glock in that regard. Thanks in advance
