Agreed...As a kid (late 70's) I never, ever imagined a US that would have its people scavenging like that...but it is going on in urban areas and it will make its way out to the 'burbs before long.

Already here.

I donate to the local Food Pantry every week.
They have seen demand just about quadruple in the last few months.
There are still plenty of people who are too proud to ask for help.
My wife has kids in her class who come to school hungry.
I am hearing gunshots at night, quite often. People are shooting deer and rabbits for food. Ive noticed a lot more people in the last few months who are "living off the land",so to speak, supplementing their food supply.

Things are going to get worse.

Im really glad I dont live in a city.
