It's an El Cheapo BSA red dot....but I gotta say, it works fine.

It is a 60, i got that many moons ago at a gun show for $100. It's been my daily carry gun since. The previous owner ground off the hammer spur.

Tell me about the revolver in the first picture - newbie myself, and eager to learn.

I also like Rugers - have the SP101 - use that and my S&W M&P compact the most.

It's a Sauer & Sohn (as in Sig Sauer) from Germany imported under the Hawes Firearm Co. It's a single action .44 magnum. Adjustable sights, all steel blued gun. transfer bar setup, not a hammer mounted firing pin. They were made from 1951 through 1961 if memory serves correct.

How's the recoil on that bad boy? I don't think I've ever seen a magnum revolver with the bore axis that far above the grip.
