Bought this new last June. It is the basic model. Swapped the stock with a USGI birch. Added the dummy selector switch. I am a better shot with my AR's, but I love wood and 7.62's.

Very nice. I have mine in it's factory walnut but I do have a USGI walnut I got from Fred's that my old PolyTech resided in.
I like the lightness of the Birch, the grain stands out nicely.

The factory walnut stock on mine was way too fat. It is a nice piece of wood though. Problem for me is that the trigger guard will not clamp onto the factory stock now. It must have swelled or something.

I'm going to make you cringe. I paid $800 for mine a few years back at a gun show. Needless to say, I had about 3 or 4 offers for it before I left on Sunday.

Jeez, and I thought I got mine for a song. Now everybody get yourselves some targets from Fred's and get to work :)

Yeah, and I don't think more than a box or 2 of ammo had been through it. Considering it was made in 1988 0r 1989, and I bought it about 2002 or 2003, I'd say I rescued a Vault Queen.
