Imagine it's the morning of 19th April 1775. You're a rider sent to warn the town of Concord, and you ride up to a house and rouse the occupant out of bed. You breathlessly yell to him, "The Regulars are coming! They've marched on Lexington to seize the cannon & powder! There have been reports of shots fired! They're heading this way! Grab your musket and rally on the green!"

The man sheepishly responds, "Well, I always meant to get myself a quality, fast-reloading musket and a good supply of powder and balls so I could be ready. But I just recently bought a new carriage for my wife and a new pony for my daughter and haven't had the extra money. All I have is an old blunderbuss I use for shooting quail. Will that work?"

As you shake your head and ride away in disgust, you hear him call after you, "Sorry I can't muster, but Ill be with you in spirit!"
