For Sale: A Chinese Type 56 / Factory 26 SKS. Bayonet is mounted but is not spear tipped (the edge is blunt/chisel tipped and not sharp). Bayonet folds and unfolds 100% functional.
Condition: I'd say it's in "good" condition all things considered. The stock shows obvious wear, perhaps some trench art, too. But the internals are solid. Firing pin is clean and looks to be in good condition. I've cleaned a lot of the cosmoline off but you may still find some pockets in the exterior bolts. The front sight has some rust (see photos). The magazine compartment loads and drops reliably. Locking mechanism is strong.
Disclosure: I have not personally fired this SKS. In my experience, the SKS is known to "slamfire" when the firing pin and/or bolt is caked in cosmoline/not taken care of. Changing the firing pin on these is fairly simple if you're concerned, and that usually resolves the issue along with a good cleaning. With that said, in the few SKSs I've owned/shot, I never had a slamfire experience.
Price: $500 I believe this is fair based on 90 day trends on auction/other sales sites.
Trades: Will consider trades towards and for items of equal value (1911s in 9mm, complete lower receivers, PCCs, 10mm options, to name a few - throw something my way). Can put cash/take cash to balance out a trade.
Location: My office in Braintree, MA
Transaction: EFA-10 preferred.
I also have some 7.62x39 ammo and clips for sale/part of a trade. Brass, not steel. Will give a good deal on this to the buyer (.25 cents per round or value equivalent).
PM me with any questions/offers. All laws will be followed. Must have a valid MA LTC. I can ship if you are willing to cover shipping costs. I've posted close up photos. If you want some larger/full shot photos, I will send via PM. Thanks.
