Hopkins & Allen X.L. Centre Fire double action revolver in .32 caliber. Functions fine but of course you can't shoot it. Finish is poor, grips are perfect, pitted bore. Folding hammer, sn 4199 which dates it to 1888 if my interpretation of online data is correct.

Text on the top strap reads:

HOPKINS & ALLEN M'F'G CO
PAT. MAR.28.71 JAN.5.86

X.L. DOUBLE ACTION
32 CAL.CENTRE FIRE

Hammer has PAT'D JAN.27.85 stamped in tiny text on the foldout part.

No swingout cylinder--it loads through a gate. Six chambers. All the springs are strong--it's a snappy little bugger.

From my cursory research, it appears that these little Hopkins & Allen pocket pistols were nickel plated. What's weird, though, is that the flutes and indexing grooves on this cylinder appear to have been blued. Also odd that the serial number cannot be seen when the gun is assembled. Maybe it's just an assembly number.

Pre-1899 antique so no FFL required. Will meet in SE MA, or will ship if you can convince me YOU are legal and your LOCATION is legal to ship to, and you pony up ten extra bucks to help with shipping cost.

All laws followed, and no ammo is part of this transaction.
