Question - how is the P229 compared to the P228? Also, I heard the the Mosquito was plagued with various issues, is there truth to this? I'm extremely interested in Sigs, I got to shoot a 228 and loved it immediately.

The 228 has a German stamped slide and is only 9mm. The 229 has a SS slide made in NH. The 229 is available in 9mm, .40 and 357Sig and is slightly heavier. Overall size is very similar- grips are same size.

I love them both although personally I give the edge to the 229 but some people just love the 228.
