So I have a SIG556 Classic with a front sling attachment mounted on the left side of the gas-block. I'm thinking of bringing it to an Appleseed and letting my daughter use my SIG 522 along side for a day. Both with rear diopter sights and red-dots.

Is using a shooting sling possible with the side-attachment points? It would seem the tension would just cant the rifle.

As much as those Swiss like to shoot, it would seem something should work OK...

Canting the rifle is essential to building a solid, repeatable prone and sitting position.

Cant the rifle in towards you in prone and away from you in sitting.
