Savage model 720 springfield automatic 16ga shotgun. I would like to know if anyone here knows if there is a firing pin spring on this particular model. I know there are other variants by other manufacturers, but I am looking for VERY SPECIFIC KNOWLEGE of the inclusion or absence of a spring for this gun. I carefully completely disassembled the bolt and there was no spring. It has the square end firing pin. As far as I know this gun has never been disassembled. I also did not misplace any parts.
Some youtube videos for browning A5's show a spring, some of the animated break-out's do not show one. The numrich website schematic does show one for each variation of firing pin.
Thanks for any help. I really don't want to have to disassemble this thing again if I don't have to.
