too little, too late. it supports the NRA's plan in a huge way though. interesting to see what the media says--if they say anything.

either way, statistical probablity dictates that those people all will most likely never have something that shitty happen to them again as long as they live.

...most likely.

1) they expect this to happen again sometime soon to the same school?

2) shouldn't the "Gun Free Zone force field" (tm) protect them? (Maybe if they turn the power up to 10yr prison term level it will help)

3) if this is all they need, why the push for more "restrictions", none of which would have prevented the shooting to begin with?

Shit, guys. These kids went through some tough stuff. Take a ****ing step back please.

"I am skeptical that the only answer is putting more guns in schools." How can this be happening? The news media said this is the safest school in the country. There will be an indefinite police presence. Why? Armed security in schools? That is just crazy talk. How can this be happening? There will be more bloodshed!

Don't be skeptical. It flat ass works. I taught in an inner city VO-Tec school that had two resource officers (read two uniformed and armed LEO's) after a student was a stabbed on the front steps of the school.

It is a sad statement on how bad our schools have gotten but it works. Metal detectors were periodically tried but everyone set them off with all the bling they wear and the process is far too time consuming to do on a daily basis. Plus they were wise and one of the first students through would go prop a door open in the back of the school.

You wouldn't believe the stuff that the students carried for "protection". Everything from pen knives to a loaded .40 cal Sig.
