I have found a craftsman stock-maker in Poland who makes various reproduction WW2 stocks (german and soviet/russian among others). He's got a lot of happy customers and his stocks usually go for ~$135 including shipping.

Not too bad of a price if you think that finding SVT-40 used period or even repro not as easy as finding M1 Garand stock, which there are tons of them as low as $50 for a used one.

If there are SVT-40 enthusiasts/owners that want to nice new hardwood stock for their rifle, andif there is enough of us,I might talk that guy into giving us a little discount. Plus shipping for a bunch of them should be cheaper per rifle than if each of us will order one at the time.

Other stuff he makes: STG43, MP44, G 41, Bergman 35, MG42, MG34, MP 18 ,28, 41, Beretta 38 and 38/42

I may be interested . Do you know what type of wood he uses?? Also what type of payment does he accept. Got to be REALLY careful with giving out credit card numbers to overseas sellers.

Yes, I found him through ebay. Hi has a ton of good reviews.
I don't think he takes Credit, unless through PayPal.

Looks like I was wrong. He uses beech not oak? Still hardwood although a little dimensionally unstable in presence of moisture.
There are some Garand's stocks that made of beechwood.
